When Alan sent me a video clip of him performing this routine, I knew we had a sure fire winner.
A small spiral bound book is handed to a spectator. Each page has a picture of 4 different symbols on it. Each page also has a bold, black printed number.
A small envelope is placed onto the table. The spectator is asked to thumb through the book and stop on ANY PAGE. Note this is any page. No forcing of any
kind. For the first time, the magician shows the back of the envelope. It reads Everyone says stop on an odd number. Amazingly they have selected an odd number.
The envelope is opened and tipped out is a prediction. It MATCHES EXACTLY the page they stopped on.

When I sent you the reply yesterday concerning the eventual arrival of ‘Behaviour Patterns’ I did not have time to look at the effect, I just wanted to reply to you to let you know that it had arrived the following day. Last night I finally managed to get the time to play the DVD and examine the effect. I found that the effect was everything that I had hoped for and more. I had tried to figure out before it arrived how it was going to work and failed. The square envelope is a brilliant idea, yet so simple, in order to allow so many outs. Unlike you, I am a senile geriatric and will put the dots on the envelope as a prompt. I cant wait to try it out at our junior club followed by the senior section.
 
One complaint though, why have you listed other effects from your company on the DVD, I am trying to stop buying and with this temptation it is hard to resist other effects that you have put out. I already have your book test ‘Word in a Million’ which I think is the best and have seen three juniors also give a demo of this effect. You have some great effects that are hard to resist.
